BEAUTICONTROL PRIVACY POLICY

The privacy policy set forth below applies to the Corporate Web site of BeautiControl and authorized BeautiControl Independent Consultant Web sites. Please read BeautiControl's privacy policy to understand how we'll handle your personal information as you take advantage of the many opportunities and offers presented through the corporate website, and authorized BeautiControl Independent Consultant Web sites.

WE'RE COMMITTED TO SAFEGUARDING YOUR PRIVACY

BeautiControl respects your right to privacy. We believe that your personal information including your purchases, e-mail address, billing and shipping addresses, telephone numbers, and credit card information, belongs to you. We will use this information to complete your purchases. We want to use this information to make your encounter with us more informative, and to tell you about the wonderful products and opportunities available with BeautiControl. If you prefer we not contact you, we provide opportunities to avoid this.

WHILE VISITING BEAUTICONTROL.COM OR AUTHORIZED INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT WEB SITES

The following applies to our Corporate Web site, www.beauticontrol.com and our authorized Independent Consultant Web sites, which all begin with www.beautipage.com. These are the only authorized BeautiControl Web sites available to the public.

Collection - Our Web sites include the ability for you to purchase products and/or sign up for services online. When you make a purchase, we ask for your name, billing and shipping addresses, e-mail address, telephone numbers and credit card information for the purposes of completing the transaction online. We may also ask you to provide your Consultant's I.D. number if you already have a Consultant. We also maintain records and collect information on your online purchase (such as date, amount and products).
Our Web sites may also have various contests, surveys and other events, where your name, telephone number and email address may be requested. We may ask for other personal information on a voluntary basis. We also have opportunities for you to contact us or a Sales Consultant. Again, we typically ask for your name, e-mail address and telephone number, plus any comments or questions you may have.
Our Web sites may also include additional services. These services may require information in order to service your needs (such as your email address).

Use - Information provided via an online purchase will be used to complete your transaction using normal retail methods. The information that you provide us with during the online purchase process (name, address, telephone number and email address) are maintained for you convenience in retrieving the same information on a return visit. Information provided in a purchase, in joining our activities or in requests for information will also be used to contact you with answers to any questions you may submit online, answers to requests for more information regarding services advertised online, and business opportunities. If you placed your order through your Consultant's BeautiPage Web site, and the method of delivery is through your Consultant, we will provide your Consultant with your name, address, e-mail address and purchase information (date, amount, and products).

To Opt Out - In certain requests for information there is a box to check if you do not wish to be contacted. If you check it, we will not contact you.

BROWSER COOKIES

"Cookies" are very small text files your Web browser stores on your computer when you visit some Web sites. It is your identification card, and cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. It is uniquely yours and can only be read by the site that gave it to you.
Our cookies help make it easier for you to use our Web sites. A cookie generated by BeautiControl, for example, allows you to retrieve your BeautiControl Independent Consultant’s BeautiPage address on a return visit. Cookies do not collect credit card information information, nor is your name, address or product information contained within the cookie itself. The cookie simply holds the "key" that, once read by our Web sites, redirects you to your BeautiControl Independent Consultant’s BeautiPage address.

DATA SECURITY IS IMPORTANT TO US

Ensuring security online is an important part of our pledge to respect your privacy. When you place orders for products, we offer the use of a secure server. BeautiControl.com and BeautiPage.com use SSL (secure sockets layer) to protect your credit card information. SSL encrypts all ordering information, such as your name and credit card number, so it can't be read in transit. In addition, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We make an effort to keep your personal information confidential. BeautiControl does not willfully distribute or sell personal information collected online to third parties. However, we may be required to disclose your information to the government or third parties under a valid legal request. For example, a criminal investigation or a lawful subpoena may force disclosure. This is true of every business.

YOUR CONSENT

By using our Web site, you agree to let us collect and use information in a manner consistent with the guidelines stated in this policy. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we will disclose it.

BeautiControl Internet privacy policies

We use your IP address as a service tool to diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site.
This site does utilize cookies. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookie does not contain any publicly identifying information (name, address, phone number, etc.) and is only used to provide a more convenient sign-in process. Cookies set in previous site visits are used to quickly access information stored on our locally secured computers (information such Client ID, your name and shipping information). Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. Even without a cookie, you can still access all of the features of BeautiPage but will be required to enter the information mentioned above on each visit to the site.

Our site's Independent Consultant Agreement form requires users to give us contact information (such as name and e-mail address), unique identifiers, and financial information (account or credit card numbers). We use contact information from the Independent Consultant Agreement to send new Independent Consultants information about our company. The Consultant's contact information also is used to contact her or him when necessary. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the Consultant for products and services. Unique identifiers are collected to verify the Consultant's identity and for use as account numbers in our record system.

Our site uses an Order form for clients to request information, products, and services. We collect visitor's contact information (e-mail address and shipping information), unique identifiers (e-mail address or Client ID), and financial information (account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders to the client. The client's contact information is also used to get in touch with her or him when necessary. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the client for products and services.

Our site uses a questionnaire to assist the Independent Consultant in better serving her clients. This information is used by the Consultant to provide information pertaining to BeautiControl products and services. We do not share any of the information that you provide to us with any other vendors or mailing lists.
We may run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for unique identifiers (like their Client ID). Unique identifiers are collected from web site visitors for use as account numbers in our record system.

Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Data is maintained in a secured facility. Access to company servers is protected behind a firewall.

Choice/Opt-Out
This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service.
